Texas Jail Voting Project

Students will work to expand voter registration, voter education, and voting opportunities in Texas county jails. Students will identify facilities that would be amicable to expand voting opportunities available to incarcerated individuals. Students also will identify and collaborate with key stakeholders, including local voting groups, sheriffs, and county staff and officials to develop voter programming inside jail facilities. Students will work together to create educational resources to help protect the voting rights of justice-impacted individuals. This is a student-led exploratory project that will be conducted under the supervision of Clinical Professor Ranjana Natarajan and the Mithoff Pro Bono Program.
