Pipeline to Law School – High School Classroom Volunteers (Akins High School)

Law students will deliver a practical, engaging lesson tailored to senior high school students at Eastside Early College High School. Volunteers will spend one or two periods of a Street Law practicum teaching legal concepts and interacting with students. The topic for the first session on March 31 will focus on landlord/tenant rights. The topic for the second session on March 31 will focus on education law.

The Pipeline to Law School Program at Texas Law works to bring law student volunteers into local AISD schools throughout the year to teach practical, participatory lessons about issues that are important and applicable to today’s youth in areas of law and democracy.
