Law students will work with the High School Outreach Pipeline Program Scholars to deliver a practical, engaging lesson tailored to senior high school students at Eastside Early College High School. Volunteers will spend one to two periods of an elective ethnic studies class teaching and interacting with students. The lesson plan is centered on landlord/tenant rights with an introduction to rental contract terminology and a substantive lesson on Hilder v. St Peter.

The Pipeline to Law School Program at Texas Law is committed to improving opportunities for all students to pursue a legal education, particularly students who are first generation, low income, or members of groups underrepresented in the legal profession. The Pipeline Program, announced in May of 2021 and launching this year, will establish an array of programming, including opportunities for high school students.
