Title IX Advisor Program – Spanish Interpreter

Student will interpret during witness interviews in a Title IX case involving alleged sexual harassment. Student also may conduct witness interviews and participate in Title IX team meetings and case preparation, based on student interest. Student must be a fluent Spanish speaker who is comfortable interpreting colloquial terms and slang in Spanish. Several witnesses are primary Spanish speakers, from countries including but not limited to Mexico.

The Title IX Project is an internal project of the Richard and Ginni Mithoff Pro Bono Program, operated in partnership with The University of Texas at Austin Title IX Office.

10-25 hours starting immediately and over the course of the fall semester, with the number of hours dependent on student interest in participating in team activities beyond interpretation
