Students will meet with family law litigants who are not represented by counsel. Students will work with reference attorneys to answer questions and review paperwork during “Walk-In Case Review.” The Walk-In Case Review is held Monday through Friday from 10am to noon.

Travis County Law Library & Self-Help Center
The Travis County Law Library & Self-Help Center was the first self-help center in Texas and continues to be at the forefront of efforts to assist self-represented litigants access the courts. The Law Library & Self-Help Center provides forms, legal information, and referrals to people representing themselves in Travis County civil courts. The Law Library & Self-Help Center has five family reference attorneys who help self-represented litigants through the court process by explaining the law and court procedure and reviewing forms.

- 20 hours during the semester, including training; students must commit to attend a weekly 2 hour shift during October-November; shifts are available daily between 10am-1pm

- A 1 hour training will be held at the Travis County Law Library and Self-Help Center on Wednesday, September 21, from 4pm-5pm; students who cannot make that training can make arrangements with the supervising attorney for an individual training session
