Justice Center projects engage students in a range of policy-oriented legal research. The research program has facilitated student work on foster youth and immigration law for Texas RioGrande Legal Aid’s Foster Youth Justice Project, on the right to counsel in civil cases for an ABA judges’ bench book, and on the criminalization of HIV transmission and housing policy for the mentally ill for two studies by the UT Institute for Urban Policy Research & Analysis.
