As Assistant Dean of Information Technology, I report directly to the Dean as a member of the Law School’s leadership team and am responsible for leading a customer-focused organization that delivers efficient and effective technology systems and services to advance the teaching, research, and service missions of the Law School and to sustain and enhance the Law School’s eminence in its field. I have over twenty-five years of experience in Information Technology and related fields, with over fifteen years serving UT and the School of Law.

Charles Meetze

Information Technology Manager

Charles is responsible for Management, Direction, Planning and Control of all aspects related to the Computer Services department - i.e. Systems development, Network & System Security, Risk Management, Vulnerability Assessments, Authentication & Access Control, System Monitoring, Regulatory Compliance, Personnel, and Help Desk.

Daniel Vega

Desktop Support Specialist

Over 20 years of experience in hardware and software support, ranging from assisting home users to working in enterprise environments. Create and deploy Windows operating system images for staff and faculty. Maintain Windows Servers and a database for system deployments. Provide Tier 1 - Tier 3 software and hardware support (Desktops, Laptops, Tablets and Smartphones) as well as end user training for staff and faculty via phone, email and in person. Replace hardware components for desktops, laptops and printers. Make hardware and software recommendations for individual users and departments. Create and maintain system images for classroom computers. Create and maintain software packages to deploy to computers. Perform asset management. Create and maintain documentation for internal projects and user self-support via a wiki.
