Nikita Mhatre

Nikita Mhatre (Georgetown University, BA 2018; University of Texas School of Law, JD 2024) interned with NARAL Pro-Choice America. Before attending law school, she spent three years working on reproductive health, rights, and justice policy at the National Partnership for Women & Families, where she wrote policy briefs examining different aspects of reproductive justice and performed congressional advocacy. As an undergraduate, Nikita interned with the Center for American Progress's Women's Health & Rights team and wrote her senior thesis on the race and class politics of contraception. In law school, she is an active participant of several pro bono projects, a staff editor on the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties & Civil Rights, and the co-president of If/When/How. Nikita is passionate about creating a world where everyone has bodily autonomy, focusing on intersectional aspects of reproductive rights, particularly racial and economic justice.
