Texas Law Alumni Tailgate
Each fall, before a Longhorn home football game, alumni and their guests gather on the Law School lawn for the Texas Law Alumni Tailgate, a tradition since 1998. It’s a family-friendly afternoon of barbecue, bar service, live music, and yard games, all centered on the world-famous Rodriguez Family Barbecue, hosted by Eduardo Rodriguez ’68 and Michael Rodriguez ’94 alongside their families and friends.

Meet Our Pitmaster, Eduardo Rodriguez ’68
Every year since 1998, alumni and their families look forward to Eduardo Rodriguez’s delicious BBQ at Texas Law’s tailgate party. It’s not just the hundreds of pounds of chicken, beef, quail, and sausage that attract attendees. It’s the sense of community and care that Rodriguez, with his family and friends, inspires.
