Artwork

The artwork featured on our program, poster, and website banner comes from AgitArte, an activist art collective in Puerto Rico. AgitArte aims to “share a counter narrative to contest the dominant and inaccurate media coverage of Puerto Rico.” The specific piece we have featured is entitled, “Solidaridad y Sobrevivencia para Nuestra Liberación,” by Estefanía Rivera Cortés. Art Exhibit

As part of this symposium, an accompanying exhibit “First Aid/Primeros Auxilios” is currently on display on the first floor of the Gordon-White Building.
