Welcome to the inaugural Texas Constitutional Law Assembly, a first-of-its-kind conference for high school students in the Lone Star state hosted on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. The purpose of the Assembly is to introduce high school students to the Texas Constitution and to the Constitution of the United States.

The Texas Constitutional Law Assembly is free and open to all students in grades 9, 10, 11, 12.

Students will meet the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, four outstanding UT Law professors, as well as exceptional UT Law students. In addition, students will be treated to snacks and BBQ from Austin’s best pitmasters.

The Assembly will feature a mix of presentations and discussions on democracy, rights, and the rule of law. Students will learn about and debate fundamental questions around elections, religion, national security, and the importance of the US Constitution in the world.
