Gabriel Cajiga is a Panamanian lawyer and a 2020-2021 Fulbright student pursuing an LL.M. in Cybersecurity Law at Texas Law. He completed his first professional degree in law in Panama in 2018 and currently works as an associate at Cajigas & Co in Panama, where his work involves IP law, business, contracts, and IT law. He is a member of the Panamanian Institute of Technology and Law (IPANDETEC) and has participated in Privacy Law and Open Data and Government seminars. As part of his LL.M. degree program, Mr. Cajiga will focus on cybersecurity law regulation from a transdisciplinary perspective, including technology, law, and policy. After completing his studies at Texas Law, Mr. Cajiga plans to become an InfoSec law expert and to teach cybersecurity law in Panama. In addition to being an MD Anderson Fellow, Mr. Cajiga will also serve as a Cybersecurity Fellow in the Robert Strauss Center for International Security and Law at The University of Texas at Austin in the academic year 2020-2021.
