Dr. iur. Nicole Prinz
I was an MD Anderson Fellow from Cologne, Germany, achieving an LL.M. degree with a Human Rights and Comparative Constitutional Law Concentration at the University of Texas School of Law as a member of the Class of 2017. During my year at the University of Texas at Austin I took classes and clinics mainly related to Human Rights and Capital Punishment as well as Alternative Dispute Resolution. Before coming to Texas, I was a judge at the Regional Court (Landgericht) of Cologne and the Municipal Court (Amtsgericht) of Gummersbach, dealing with civil law matters. Following my lifetime appointment in 2015, I predominantly worked on Corporate Law Cases and Insolvency Law Cases at the Regional Court of Cologne. I graduated from the University of Muenster Faculty of Law with a doctoral degree in International Family Maintenance law, subsequently worked as a law clerk in different positions in public institutions and law firms in Germany (Duisburg, Essen, Berlin) and started my professional career as an attorney in the Berlin office of an internationally working law firm.
