Pamoda Jayasundara is a LL.M student at The University of Texas School of Law in the concentration in Human Rights and Comparative Constitutional Law. She is a Fulbright Master’s Scholar from Sri Lanka. Pamoda obtained her Bachelor of Law degree with a First Class from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka and was admitted to the bar soon after. She is also a gold medalist for excellence in Constitutional Law. Prior to starting her postgraduate studies, she has been working as a Lecturer at the Department of Law, University of Peradeniya for two years.

Pamoda has worked closely in different capacities with a number of governmental and non-governmental organizations in Sri Lanka including the Human Rights Commission and the Legal Aid Commission in specific areas such as gender equality, ethnic harmony and access to justice. She has also conducted her undergraduate dissertation and a few other researches on those areas.

Pamoda is passionate about Legal Theory and aspires to engage in further research to explore and analyze the theoretical foundations of Human Rights Law, International Law and Constitutional Law.
