Seti Tesefay
Seti Tesefay is the recipient of the 2019-2020 MD Anderson Postgraduate Fellowship in Transnational Law from the Institute for Transnational Law at The University of Texas School of Law. The fellowship is funded with generous support from the MD Anderson Foundation. Starting on September 1, 2019, Seti will spend a year working at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, an intergovernmental organization that provides a forum for international dispute resolution through arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution. Seti will receive her J.D. from Texas Law in May 2019. She is a recipient of the Justice Center Graduating Student award. At Texas Law, Seti was an Articles Editor for the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal. Seti also served as the Community Service Chair for the Thurgood Marshall Legal Society. She was a 2017-2018 Mithoff Pro Bono Scholar for Educational Equity and Criminal Justice Reform. In 2018, Seti interned at the Federal Defender Services of Idaho and worked for the Capital Habeas and Trial units. She also was a Student Attorney for the Capital Punishment and Criminal Defense Clinics. On April 30, 2019, Seti was presented with a 2019 Justice Center Graduating Student Award as part of the Justice Center Celebration of Service at The University of Texas School of Law.
