Field Trip: International Law and the Houston Ship Channel
Location: Houston, Texas
On January 24, 2020, law students will go on a boat tour along the Houston Ship Channel, where they will learn about the port and maritime industry. They will get views of international cargo vessels and operations at the port’s Turning Basin Terminal. After the tour, they will meet attorneys involved in energy and environmental law at Lone Star Legal Aid and the Harris County Attorney’s Office, and learn about international law, environmental justice, and the civil enforcement of environmental laws and regulations in the Greater Houston Area over the past 50 years.
This event is limited to students at The University of Texas School of Law.
