Field Visit: Sweetwater Wind Farm Tour

Location: Sweetwater, Texas

On November 9, 2018, Roderick Wetsel, a recognized leader in energy law and a former adjunct professor at The University of Texas School of Law, will lead a tour of the Sweetwater Wind Farm for LL.M. students at the Law School. During the tour, students will attend a presentation on wind turbine operation and go inside an operational wind turbine. Additionally, they will attend presentations by a landowner as well as the Executive Director of Sweetwater Economic Development. The wind tour is a unique opportunity for students to complement what they are learning inside the classroom with onsite learning.

What Students are Saying

“Last week, we toured the Sweetwater Wind Farm – one of the largest in the world! We attended a presentation on wind turbine operation and went inside an operational wind turbine. We also discussed issues pertaining to contracts and environmental law. The wind tour is a unique experience offered by the Law School’s Institute for Transnational Law* and the best way to learn. Hopefully, we will see these developments in Argentina in the near future!”
