Internationalization of Constitutional Law

The Institute for Transnational Law is committed to expanding opportunities for law students interested in careers in international law. Through deep collaboration between faculty and students at Texas Law, the Institute is developing a project that explores the internationalization of constitutional law. The project looks at major trends in the internationalization of constitutional law, including the incorporation of human rights treaties into constitutions. It argues that many national constitutions regulate a country’s relations with international law and international organizations through ample references to regional or global standards. It also looks at problems of law, policy, and practice relevant to the internalization of minority rights.
