Jiya Ghosh

Jiya Ghosh is a junior at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Government and History. She is a member of the Liberal Arts Honors program and serves as an Assistant Editor for the UT Center of Law and Democracy’s Constitutional Studies journal. She is a Sumners Scholar, as well as an editor for the Texas Undergraduate Law Journal. In addition, she is a Fall 2026 Bill Archer fellow, where she will be interning in D.C. Outside of school, she enjoys playing the saxophone, building LEGO sets, and finding the best mocha in Austin.

 

McKay Lawless

McKay Lawless is a senior at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Plan II Honors and Government. This is her second year at the Center, and she is excited to take all she has learned into her thesis writing process this year. McKay is an intern at the Institute for Justice, a Bowden Fellow, a leader in Ignite Texas, and a volunteer at her church. She loves to travel and recently attended the Woolf Institute at the University of Cambridge this summer. McKay plans to go to law school after graduation. Hook ‘Em!

 

Mario Nawar

Mario Nawar is a third-year student at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Plan II Honors and Government. He is a legal team lead for the Sustainable Building Initiative, focussing on sustainable housing, and writes about Constitutional law for the Texas Undergraduate Law Journal. Nawar has interned in IP, labor, and real estate law in Dubai, and serves as the Vice President of the Orthodox Christian Campus Ministries (OCCM). Nawar is excited to join the Archer Fellowship Program in Washington D.C. in the Spring to gain policymaking experience.
