Clara is an Economic Justice Initiative Attorney fellow with Houston Volunteer Lawyers and the Tahirih Justice Center, working on labor rights issues. At Texas Law, Clara was a Mithoff Pro Bono scholar focused on immigration and disability rights, was on the Justice Center Student Advisory Board, interned with Texas Appleseed and Disability Rights Texas, served on the executive boards of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA) and the Public Interest Law Association.
