Jessica Cisneros is a managing attorney at the Texas Immigration Law Council, which is based in Austin. Previously, she worked in Laredo, Texas as a supervising attorney at RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services) and as an immigration attorney with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid.

Immediately after law school, Jessica worked with Brooklyn Defender Services’ New York Immigrant Family Unity Project team funded by a Justice Center Fellowship in Public Interest Law. After the fellowship, she was a candidate in the 2020 and 2022 Democratic primaries to represent Texas' 28th Congressional District, a district stretching north from the U.S-Mexico border to the outskirts of San Antonio, in the U.S. House of Representatives.

At Texas Law, Jessica served as a Mithoff Pro Bono Scholar, focusing on immigration related projects, and participated in the Immigration Clinic and the Criminal Defense Clinic. She interned with the Equal Justice Center in Austin; U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in San Antonio; and the Legal Services Organization at Yale Law School, where she handled immigration cases.
