Jocelyne Torres
Jocelyne Torres is a staff attorney with ProBAR, the American Bar Association’s South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project, in Harlingen, Texas.
At Texas Law, Jocelyne was a vice-president of the Chicano Hispanic Latino Law Students Association. As a 1L, she volunteered with the Mithoff Pro Bono Program’s Women in Immigration Detention Assistance Project and participated in Pro Bono in January, the Mithoff Program’s winter break service trip to the RioGrande Valley. She participated in the Immigration Clinic for several semesters and, as a 3L, served as Mithoff Pro Bono Scholar, assisting with immigration related projects.
Jocelyne spent the summer after her 1L year working with RAICES (the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services) in Austin, and the summer after her 2L year working with ProBAR in Harlingen.
