Kelly Hogue is a staff attorney with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid's real property and home foreclosure prevention team in San Antonio. She started her work there as a Gallogly Family Foundation Public Interest Law Fellow, focused on preventing displacement of residents living in San Antonio's rapidly gentrifying Eastside. Immediately after graduating from law school, she clerked in San Antonio for Judge Patrick Higginbotham of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

At Texas Law, Kelly was a project lead for the Mithoff Pro Bono Program’s Expunction Project, a Teaching Quizmaster, an associate editor of the Texas Law Review, a research assistant to Professor Jordan Steiker, and a Community Development Research Fellow to Professor Heather Way. She participated in the Legislative Lawyering Clinic, Housing Clinic, and Supreme Court Clinic, and interned with Texas Housers. She spent her summers with the Texas Defender Service in Austin and the ACLU National Prison Project in Washington, D.C.
