Following graduation, Lauren Schoen is a law clerk for U.S. Magistrate Judge Betsy Chestney of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas in San Antonio.

At Texas Law, Lauren was a member of the Justice Center student advisory board, vice president of If/When/How Texas Law, an associate editor of the Texas Law Review, and a staff editor of the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties & Civil Rights. She was a research assistant for Professor Elizabeth Sepper and participated in the Civil Rights Clinic and the Supreme Court Clinic.

Lauren spent the summer after her 1L year working for the Center for Reproductive Rights in New York. The summer after her 2L year, she worked for the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project, also in New York.
