Nina Colombotos
Following graduation, Nina Colombotos will clerk for Magistrate Judge Susan Hightower of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas in Austin.
At Texas Law, Nina was a member of the Justice Center student advisory board and a staff editor of the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties & Civil Rights. She volunteered for a range of pro bono projects with the Mithoff Pro Bono Program and participated in the Immigration Clinic, Criminal Defense Clinic, Transnational Worker Rights Clinic, and Housing Clinic. She also interned with the Texas Civil Rights Project’s Beyond Borders Program.
The summer after her 1L year, Nina worked with immigrant construction workers on their labor and employment cases at the Workers Defense Project in Austin. The summer after her 2L year, she worked on immigration cases, including those at the intersection of employment and criminal issues, at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid in Austin.
