Ruth Rosenthal directs the courts and communities project at the Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, D.C. Before that, she led youth justice policy work for Pew’s public safety performance project. At Texas Law, she participated in the Capital Punishment Clinic and the Immigration Clinic, and was president of OUTLaw. She worked for Advocacy, Inc., the Travis County Mental Health Public Defender, the Southern Center for Human Rights, and the Southern Public Defender Training Center. After graduating from law school, she spent several years working as a trial attorney with the Colorado State Public Defender.
