Samantha Westrum works for the ACLU of Virginia as a Dunn Legal Fellow focusing on criminal legal reform, preserving and expanding voting rights, and protecting transgender children in schools.

At Texas Law, Sam served as articles editor of the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties & Civil Rights. She participated in the Housing Clinic and was a Pro Bono Scholar with the Mithoff Pro Bono Program, assisting with special education related projects. After her first year, she with worked Disability Rights Texas in Austin, and after her second year she worked with the ACLU Disability Rights Program in San Francisco. She also interned with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, Disability Rights Section in Washington, D.C.
