Five students at the University of Texas School of Law have been selected to receive Baron & Budd Public Interest Summer Fellowships for the coming summer. The program will provide each fellow with a $4,500 stipend to work fulltime for at least 10 weeks providing legal services to underrepresented individuals or communities.
The fellowships are made possible by a generous gift from the Baron & Budd law firm, which also supports the school-year Baron & Budd Public Interest Scholarship Program. Both programs are administered by the William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law at the Law School.
The following students will receive 2016 Baron & Budd Public Interest Summer Fellowships:
Reema Ali, ’18, will work with Disability Rights Texas in Austin.
Loraine Hoane, ’18, will work with the environmental justice team at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid in Austin.
Hudson Kyle, ’18, will work with the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) in San Antonio.
Rosann Mariappuram, ’18, will work with Jane’s Due Process in Austin.
Noah McLaughlin, ’18, will work with Disability Rights Texas in Austin
