Environmental Integrity Project – Scholarship in Environmental Justice Law
The Environmental Integrity Project created the Scholarship in Environmental Justice Law to support students at Texas Law with a demonstrated interest in public interest environmental law. Preference is given to students from underrepresented backgrounds with a demonstrated commitment to environmental justice. The scholarship includes professional mentorship and networking opportunities with attorneys from the Environmental Integrity Project.
Scholarship recipients are selected in the fall by a selection committee composed of representatives of the Environmental Law Clinic and the Justice Center. Scholarship funds are distributed in the following spring semester. The amount of the scholarship awarded varies from year to year based on the funds available and the number of qualified applicants.
The fall 2021 application cycle is closed. Application information for fall 2022 will be posted in September 2022.
Applicants must demonstrate their interest in public interest environmental law and environmental justice and be students in good standing at Texas Law. Dual degree students are eligible. Students are eligible to receive these scholarships for more than 1 year, but they must reapply every year. Students who are not selected as scholarship recipients the first time are highly encouraged to reapply.
