2017-2018 MD Anderson Postgraduate Fellow in Transnational Law Vidushi Shrimali Accepts Position in Office of United States Trade Representative

Vidushi Shrimali (J.D. ’17) , a distinguished, recent J.D. graduate of The University of Texas School of Law and a 2017-2018 MD Anderson Postgraduate Fellow in Transnational Law in the School of Law’s Institute for Transnational Law, has accepted a position as an Expert Consultant in the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) in Washington, D.C. Shrimali was offered the position following the successful completion of her fellowship at USTR. USTR is responsible for developing and coordinating U.S. international trade, commodity, and direct investment policy, and overseeing negotiations with other countries. The head of USTR is the U.S. Trade Representative, a Cabinet member who serves as the president’s principal trade advisor, negotiator, and spokesperson on trade issues. During her fellowship, Shrimali served as an Attorney Fellow and worked on significant topics ranging from NAFTA to Brexit. As a law student, she was a member of the Texas International Law Journal as well as the Asian Law Students Association.
