Institute for Transnational Law and Constitutional Studies Program Convene First Annual Works-In-Program Round Table in Comparative Law

On May 21, 2019, the Institute for Transnational Law and the Constitutional Studies Program convened the first annual Works-in-Progress Round Table in Comparative Law at The University of Texas School of Law. The program featured drafts selected from a call for papers. Submissions were invited from comparative law scholars around the world on all subjects on comparative law. Preference was given to early-career scholars and to those working on a book project. The round table devoted up to an hour to each submission. Participants read all submissions prior to the program in order to facilitate a robust and constructive discussion on each draft.

This program was sponsored generously by the Institute for Transnational Law and the Constitutional Studies Program at The University of Texas School of Law. It was hosted in cooperation with the Section on Comparative Law in the Association of American Law Schools.
