Research Fellow Hamidou Drame Appointed Vice President for Research at Longhorn Energy Club

The Institute for Transnational Law is pleased to announce that Hamidou Drame has been appointed Vice President for Research at the Longhorn Energy Club (LEC). Drame serves as a 2019-2020 MD Anderson Research Fellow in the Institute for Transnational Law. His research focuses on the intersection of law and policy in the Guinean mining sector. In addition to serving as a research fellow in the Institute, Drame is also a Fulbright Scholar from Guinea pursuing a LL.M. in Global Energy, International Arbitration, and Environmental Law at The University of Texas School of Law. In a conversation with the Institute in regard to his recent appointment at the LEC, Drame remarked, “I am delighted to join the LEC leadership. I look forward to working with the UT community interested in energy issues and facilitating the participation of students in the Energy Research Contest organized by the LEC in February 2020 during the UT Energy Week.” According to its website, “Longhorn Energy seeks to leverage the world-class academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular energy opportunities at UT for the betterment of all members of the UT community.
