Blake Welborn

Blake Welborn is based in Houston, Texas and works in the Harris County Attorney’s Office on civil environmental enforcement supported by a joint Justice Catalyst/Public Rights Project Fellowship. He focuses on pollution abatement and enforcement throughout Harris County.

At Texas Law, Blake was a senior staff editor of the Texas Environmental Law Journal and a member of Texas Law Review. He served as a Pro Bono Scholar for the  Mithoff Pro Bono Program's expunction project and as a dean’s fellow in the Society Program.

Blake participated in Environmental Clinic and interned with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid's community development team in Austin and with the Environmental Integrity Project in Washington, D.C. During his 1L summer, he worked with the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office in Portland, Oregon. During his 2L summer, he worked with the American Civil Liberties Union of Texas in Houston.
