Change It Up! 2025: Texas Law’s Public Interest Orientation
Started by students in 2013, Change It Up! is Texas Law’s annual public-interest orientation. The signature event welcomes new students into Texas Law’s vibrant public interest community.
The afternoon begins with opening remarks, followed by a community lunch featuring conversation tables themed around various practice areas. Participants will hear from a dynamic panel of recent graduates working in public interest law and have the opportunity to connect with fellow students, faculty, staff, and local attorneys committed to using law to advance justice.
Check-in will open at 12:45 pm and the formal program will begin at 1:15 pm.
Registration: Registration is open and space is limited. Register here by no later than noon on August 25.

12:45-1:15 | Check in – Susman Godfrey Atrium
Check in to get a name tag and locate your assigned tables. Please come early if you can. Chat with friends while you wait. The program will start promptly at 1:15. |
1:15- 2:50 | Lunch Program – Susman Godfrey Atrium
Lunch will be organized around subject-specific tables, which will give students the opportunity to meet faculty, students, and attorneys involved in different public interest fields. Participants will have the opportunity to indicate their table topic preferences when they register for the event. They will be assigned to a table for lunch and will move to a second assigned table for dessert. Click here for a list of table topics. 3:00 – 4:10 | Alumni Panel – Eidman Courtroom Recent graduates across a range of fields will discuss their paths through law school and how they participate in social change lawyering as attorneys. |
