The William Wayne Justice Center for Public Interest Law is thrilled to announce that Emily Eagle has joined the Richard and Ginni Mithoff Pro Bono Program as the 2024 G. Rollie White Pro Bono Fellow. During her two-year fellowship, generously supported by the G. Rollie White Trust, Emily will work under the supervision of Mithoff Program attorneys to oversee in-house pro bono projects, collaborate with student leaders, and supervise law student pro bono work.
Emily, a recent graduate of Texas Law, brings a wealth of disability rights experience and a strong commitment to public service. Reflecting on her new role, Emily expressed, “I am so excited and grateful for this opportunity! My law school experiences, including those that I gained through being a Pro Bono Scholar, have shown me that I love teaching, consulting, collaborating, and problem-solving. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to explore those interests right out of law school in a position that I feel is truly unique and aligns with my ultimate career goals!”
As a student, Emily served as a Pro Bono Scholar with the Mithoff Program’s INCLUDE project and participated in the Disability Rights Clinic. She also interned with Disability Rights Texas, The Arc of Texas, the U.S. Department of Justice Disability Rights Section, and the Federal Communications Commission Disability Rights Office.
Andrea Marsh, Director of the Mithoff Program, looks forward to working with Emily to extend the program’s reach. “The G. Rollie White Pro Bono Fellowship will help expand the Mithoff Program’s capacity to support law student pro bono work and meet community legal needs, and I’m thrilled that I will be able to continue to work with Em in her new role.”
