Judge William Wayne Justice Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Law
The Judge William Wayne Justice Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Law is awarded annually to a third-year law student of scholastic merit who evidences a commitment to promoting civil rights and civil liberties in the United States. The scholarship is funded by a gift from Elizabeth Parrish.
Scholastic merit includes the student’s academic record and leadership in and outside of the Law School. Financial need is considered when choosing between equally meritorious candidates.
Class of 2026 Scholar:
The class of 2026 scholarship, in the amount of $3,000, will be awarded in December 2025.

Application Information
Class of 2026 applications are due by 11:59pm CT on Monday, December 1, 2025. Apply using the online application link on this page.
The class of 2026 scholar will be announced by Friday, December 12.
The scholarship is open to full-time J.D. law students who plan to graduate in May or August 2026.
