Judge William Wayne Justice Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Law

The Judge William Wayne Justice Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Law is awarded annually to a third-year law student of scholastic merit who evidences a commitment to promoting civil rights and civil liberties in the United States. The scholarship is funded by a gift from Elizabeth Parrish.

Scholastic merit includes the student’s academic record and leadership in and outside of the Law School. Financial need is considered when choosing between equally meritorious candidates.

Application Information

Class of 2027 Scholar: For the class of 2027, one $3,000 scholarship will be awarded.

Applications are due by noon CT on Monday, November 30, 2026. Apply using the online application linked to this page.

The class of 2027 scholars will be announced by Monday, December 7.

The scholarship is open to full-time J.D. law students who will graduate in May or August 2027.
