This article is interesting for several reasons. First, Richard Serrano was from the first days after the bombing a favored recipient of leaks from the FBI and prosecutors. His articles emphasized the prosecution theory. Second: in this article, however, the cross-examination of a key government witness leads Seranno and the headline writer to turn the story around. It is not so much about Moore the government witness as Moore the guy who might have made up the story, who holds crackpot views, and who doesn’t want to stand in line with poor people to get health care.
