Sissy Fund Logo

Frances Tarlton “Sissy” Farenthold (’49) was a tireless, fearless warrior for those without a voice. At the request of family and friends, the Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center established this memorial fund to help ensure that Sissy’s legacy lives on, and that her voice continues to be heard.

The fund makes possible academic, advocacy, and creative work as well as many public events on a broad range of issues to which Sissy was committed, including peace, environmental and climate justice, and reproductive and sexual rights.

We welcome donations of any amount, whether one-time or recurring. As we work to build the fund, we are especially grateful to those who contribute or pledge at the following levels:

Founder: $10,000 or more
Circle of Friends: $5,000–$9,999
Ally: $1,000–$4,999

Gifts may be made online or by sending a check. Please make checks payable to the “University of Texas Law School Foundation” and indicate “Sissy Farenthold Fund” on the memo line. Checks may be mailed to:
Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice, The University of Texas School of Law, 727 E. Dean Keeton Street Austin, Texas 78705.

To schedule a future donation, please fill out a pledge form. For other forms of payment or additional information, please contact Caroline Hahn at 512-232-4857 or by email at carolinehahn@austin.utexas.edu.
