“Sounds of Protest” Audio Documentary

Michael Tigar’s Notes:

In May 1960, the House Committee on Un-American Activities held hearings in San Francisco. There was a big demonstration against the Committee, and the cops attacked the protesters. So Fred Haines, Ken Kitch, Gerald Gray and I produced an audio documentary on an LP, "Sounds of Protest." Haines went on to produce movies, Kitch to be a prominent theatre actor and director, and Gray to become a shrink. This is the 19 year old me, trying to sound like Cronkite or Murrow.
