At Texas Law
The Center is located in The University of Texas School of Law and supports integrating ADR into legal education. Center members have served as lecturers at the Law School and taught ADR-related courses such as negotiation, mediation, and multiparty environment and energy negotiation. They also are frequent guest lecturers on ADR topics – especially public policy collaboration – both in the Law School and the University at large.
The Center was instrumental in launching the University’s Graduate Portfolio Program in Dispute Resolution. The Portfolio Program offers an interdisciplinary approach to the teaching and study of dispute resolution. Through related courses and events, the program offers students the opportunity to discuss concepts and practice skills relevant to managing and resolving conflicts locally and beyond. The Portfolio Program is governed by a Faculty Steering Committee composed of representatives from the participating academic units. Administration of the Portfolio Program is transitioning from the Center to another college at the University.
