We negotiate every day, whether in formal or informal situations. Learn the basics of a successful negotiation in this one-day, interactive course. You'll discover your personal negotiating style and how to recognize when it's working and when it's time to try something different.

Instructors

  • Susan Schultz

    Susan Schultz is the Program Director at the Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution. She trains and presents at conferences on various collaborative processes, including consensus-building and negotiated rulemaking. Susan is a lecturer at the University of Texas School of Law where she teaches mediation, negotiation and public policy dispute resolution.

  • Suzanne Schwartz

    Suzanne Schwartz serves as Environmental Program Director for the Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution, where she focuses on building collaboration and resolving disputes in the environmental and natural resources field. She teaches dispute resolution at the UT Law School, including negotiation and environmental multiparty negotiation, and provides public training and education on dispute resolution and collaborative processes.

Fees

The fee, including materials and snacks, is $300. Employees of government and non-profit organizations will receive a reduced rate of $250. Parking is not included in the price of the course.
