Undergraduate Interns

Anvita Ukidwe is a sophomore pursuing a major in Economics and Plan II, with a certificate in Elements of Computing. She has a particular interest in environmental economics, and hopes to pursue a career in environmental law or public policy. Prior to coming to the Rapoport Center, Anvita was a summer fellow at the Pike Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to pursuing climate action and environmental justice, exploring labor reforms, and examining democracy. She hopes to continue working in similar fields and advocating for equality and justice across disciplines, with a specific focus on environmental and reproductive justice. She also serves as a member of the publicity committee in the College of Liberal Arts Council, where she has helped discuss and pass student legislation on a variety of topics ranging from accessible transportation on campus to mental health initiatives. She also helps with the council’s social media outreach and management. In addition, she is a member of UT’s premier Indian classical dance team, UT Nritya Sangam, and would like to continue to develop her love for the arts alongside her academic ventures.
