Briana D. Perez is a third-year law student at The University of Texas School of Law. Briana is from San Antonio, Texas, and is a first-generation American. She graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from St. Mary’s University. In the past, Briana has worked on immigrants’ rights litigation with the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Educational Fund and with the American Civil Liberties Union Immigrants’ Rights Project. She has also worked on other civil rights litigation at the Texas Civil Rights Project. At Texas Law, Briana is Secretary for the Chicano/Hispanic Law Students’ Association and the Technical Editor for the Texas Journal on Civil Liberties & Civil Rights, and has participated in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinics. Briana looks forward to learning more about international human rights issues that influence migration as a Human Rights Scholar with the Rapoport Center.
