Bruno Echt Fusaro (J.D. expected 2029) graduated summa cum laude from St. Edward’s University in Austin with a B.A. in Writing and Rhetoric. Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, he moved to the United States at eighteen to become the first member of his family to pursue higher education.

Bruno’s research centers on collective memory. He has studied the psychedelic rock scene in Austin as a reflection of local gentrification, the psychotherapy culture in Argentina as a form of sociopolitical endurance, and the act of dance in Argentine rock as rebellion during the last dictatorship. Bruno also writes poetry. His chapbook Homesickness collects work on the shapes of displacement and identity.

In law school, Bruno hopes to explore cultural heritage and repatriation law, specifically focused on the intersection of law and memory.
