Camille Meshack is a dual-degree candidate for Juris Doctorate and Master of Global Policy Studies at the University of Texas School of Law and the University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs, Class of 2027.  She completed her undergraduate education at Howard University, gaining a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Spanish in 2022. Throughout her undergraduate and graduate career, she has interned with various organizations, including a strategic public policy firm, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and the Center for American Progress. This past summer, Camille interned with the Chagos Refugees Group in Mauritius. There, she completed legal research and analysis on resettlement efforts for the Chagossian People, a group of indigenous peoples who were forcibly removed from the Chagos Archipelago in the late 1960s. At Texas Law, Camille is an Executive Editor for the Texas International Law Journal, Co-Program Director for Law Students for Black Lives, and Banquet and Events Chair for the Thurgood Marshall Legal Society. She is also a student member of the Barbara Jordan Inn of Court. Upon graduating, Camille hopes to pursue a career in international law and human rights.
