Carly Young

Carly is a graduate student in the University of Texas at Austin Department of Sociology PhD Program. Prior to attending the University of Texas, she earned her B.A. in sociology and psychology from the University of California Santa Barbara. Carly is interested in the intersection between gender, sexuality, and contraception within different legal contexts. For her master's thesis, which she completed in May 2024, she researched how college students were coping with the Texas abortion ban post-Dobbs. Carly is skilled in qualitative methods.
