Cristian Sanchez (BA 2010, St. Edwards University; JD expected 2017) will intern this summer at the ACLU of Southern California on their National Security and Immigrants' Rights Project. The ACLU of Southern California was founded to defend and secure civil liberties in the Constitution and Bill of Rights and to extend them to people who have been excluded from their protection. The Project uses impact litigation to further the rights and protections given to immigrants in this country. This past summer Cristian worked at the Bernardo Kohler Center and for the Chief Judge of the Southern District of Texas, the Honorable Ricardo H. Hinojosa. Cristian is the vice-president of OUTLaw and the National Representative of CHLSA. In the future Cristian hopes to work in public interest.
