Dalia Sabbagh
Dalia Sabbagh graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Government and International Relations and a minor in Arabic. Her interest in international human rights law stems from her Syrian background, which led her to be involved in refugee communities in Houston since high school. Dalia volunteered with refugee youth for several years, becoming invested in the crises that caused their displacement. At the University of Texas at Austin, she was the Vice President of Texas UNICEF and was responsible for spearheading and facilitating fundraisers and club events to raise awareness for children’s rights across the globe. More recently, she worked at Gonzalez Olivieri LLP, an immigration law firm based in Houston where she was able to assist clients with their cases. Throughout these next three years, Dalia hopes to contribute to the Law School’s Pro Bono program and gain valuable, hands-on experience.
