Dan Benowitz
Dan Benowitz (BA 2011, University of Massachusetts; JD expected 2017; LLM in Human Rights expected 2017, University of Edinburgh) will intern this summer in the Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland. The WHO is comprised of doctors, lawyers and policy experts working to improve global health conditions, and Dan will help to analyze the organization’s existing strategies and goals through the lens of international human rights law, combining development targets with a rights-based approach. Dan interned last summer in the Office of the Co-Prosecutors at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia. He has also interned at the American Civil Liberties Union of Texas and participated in the expunction clinic and juvenile lifers clinic at Texas Law. He intends to continue in the field of international human rights law after graduating.
